1) How were One Direction formed and how is this reflected in the music video for History?
the group of one direction consisting of Harry,Niall,Liam,Zayne and Louiee were originally solo singers until they were paired as a group in the x factor .And i think that the impression it made on everyone was that you can do anything.

2) What is vertical integration? 
when a company owns other company's within the same chain of production
3) What is horizontal integration?
When a media company claims stuff from newspapers to TV 


4) How has technological convergence changed the way audiences consume music videos?
Because now it is easy to access music as it is on many different platforms


5) As a manufactured band, what influence do Simon Cowell and the record company Syco (part of Sony) have over the content and release strategy of One Direction music videos? You may want to read this text from an article in The Inquisitr about the relationship between 1D and Simon Cowell.Their music videos, from what has been described to us, are completely in the hands of the production companies. There is no sense of genuineness. This is because it was Simon Cowl and Sony who toiled together to create 1 direction

I feel like the target audience of one direction are teenage girls.

2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for History?
Personal relationships,Intersexuallity,Surveillance3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to One Direction fans. Why did you choose those moments? 
0:10-flashback(emotional)/ 0:29 shows them having fun together(represents their love with the audience)/2:03 (shows that they couldn't be where they currently are without their fans)

4) What is nostalgia and why is it a key audience pleasure for the History music video?
a sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past. And its a key audience pleasure because it brings them back to the beginning.


5) How are fans positioned to respond to the video? What do the producers want One Direction fans to take from the video?
By looking at the latest comments i have seen the way that the line 'this is not the end' really touches the audience due o their break-up.
