Lara is: well educated, athletic and adventurous, all can be considered positive qualities to aspire towards. Her intelligence is heavily relied upon in the gaming series, as it gives context for her being able to solve puzzles that have remained unconquered for thousands of years.  Lara’s athleticism gives the player the ability to explore the luscious depths of the games, without being limited by the physical constraints of the character.

Ubisoft had already included female assassins in earlier instalments, and that the firm has emphasised diversity, tapping actress and gamer Aisha Tyler as its host at E3 yet they still find that there are more male violence games than female which is true as 45% of video games give an option to play as a female character yet only 24% of games allow you to play exclusively as a female.

Video games introduction

1) What were the first video games like?
They were really plain and simple and if you were to compare to a modern game like Overwatch, and an old game like tennis for two, i'm sure that most people would rather play Overwatch due to the better graphics, quality and has multiple things to do unlike  the tennis for two which you can only do the same a few pixels.2) How have video games changed over time?

Most of the successful games include
4) What criticisms have been made towards video games over the years? Here's a good article on the impact of videogames on players that might be helpful.
Over the years video games have been lightly criticised  but as they get more modern, you can see that most video games are about shooting and fighting. Now many people are now saying that these types of games are encouraging violence and gang violence however I disagree as usually in these types of games people would help the new players or let them live. Additionally, in most games, there are options that you can choose and i have researched that over 70% of gamers tend to choose the path that would result in a happy ending.

Radio: Apple Beats 1 radio CSP case study

1) How have our music listening habits changed since 1960?
because we used to listen to music on cassets and radios etc... However now we can listen to whatever music when ever you want now that we have portable devices like phones and at home we can now listen to music on pretty much anything from x boxes to t.v's and now even on some smart fridges...Incredible right?!
2) When did Apple Beats 1 Radio launch and what is it?
The apple beats were first launched on the 30th of June back in 2015 in Los Angeles, New York City and London and it was a free form radio to listen to online via I-tunes.

3) What is the difference between Beats 1 Radio, iTunes and Apple Music?
Beats 1 radio  don't just provide music, they invite popular artists and have chats, do challanges etc.iTunes is all about media ownership, functioning as both a virtual record store and an efficient digital library for music and other media (movies, TV shows, etc) that you own personally. The software comes pre-installed on all Apple devices, and is available as a free download for non-Apple PCs and mobile devices. iTunes doesn’t require a subscription fee to use.
4) Why was Apple so keen to enter the online music world and compete with Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music (and others)?
They each already had a creative background and they were established to the media industry so it gained Beats 1 viewers as one of the DJ's were from Australia and others from America which gave them a worldwide viewership

5) Why did Apple choose the three selected DJs for launch?
So that they could maintain control over their streaming market and that they also have a reliable audience due to i-tunes
6) How does the use of DJs differ from Spotify, Amazon Music and other streaming services?
Because with a DJ, you can speak and provides a nicer atmosphere in my opinion
7) How does the content of the Julia Adenuga show differ from Radio 1?
She was one of the only DJ's who would DJ with grime music and that is what made her different to others.

8) Why does Beats 1 radio give Apple the power to make or break new artists? Is this a good thing or a bad thing for the music industry?
Because apple are in charge of beats as they own it like how Disney owns star wars. It is a good thing for apple and beats as they would be making a lot of money and would also be good for artists as their music is being promoted

9) Read the BBC feature on the launch of Apple Beats 1 Radio. Did the industry experts think it would be a success? Why?They Thought that it would be a small success compared to the other apple products. This is because they said that Beats was not  something to be made for listening to radios but to listen to music.however they said that there would be some buyers as apple is already such a big company and so will already have loyal consumers.

10) Give arguments for and against the idea that Beats 1 will be a threat to traditional media industries (e.g. radio stations, record shops, online music retailers etc.)
I believe that the beats 1 will not be a threat to most media companies an like i stated before, most people would not want to buy headphones with use only to provide you with radio stations since there are TV channels and radios which most people already have and so it would just be a waste of money to buy the headphones which  are quiet expensive.

Audience

1) Who is the target audience for Beats1 and Julia Adenuga in particular? Refer to demographics and psychographics.
I would say that for the beats1, their target audience would be adults as they are the ones who tend to listen to the radio more than children, teens and the elderly.

2) Why do people listen to Beats1? Which aspects of Blumler and Katz’s Uses and Gratifications theory relate to Beats 1 and its audience?
Personal relationship-As they could become a fan and develop a relationship with the DJ's a star guest appearances.3) Can the audience actively interact with the Apple Beats 1 Radio or are they passive when listening? How? Give examples.
The audience are listening passively as there are no opportunities to phone-in or speak directly to the artists while they're on-air. However, there is some active listening as listener can actively add songs they hear to their library and playlists.4) Is Apple Beats 1 aimed at a mass or niche audience? How does this differ to BBC Radio 1?
Apple Beats 1 was marketed as a globally interactive radio which anybody could enjoy, however, their DJ's are incredibly specialised, and it could be argued that the station is specialised and targeted at a niche audience of hip/hop listeners. This is different from Radio 1 which was a very mainstream radio station that played popular music for a mass audience
5) Do you think Apple Beats 1 radio will be popular with young audiences or are streaming services the future of audio-based media?NO!
